Let’s take an example of cranes, cranes are called cranes but there are many people who are not aware of what it is that makes cranes to be called by that particular name.

Sometimes the things are named after their actual work, sometimes on the basis of their history or sometimes on the name of the inventor himself. There are various ways that a thing is named with. Let’s discuss about crane and about its name and the reason behind them.

According to some there is this bird that is tall and slander and it has a shape that was best suited for the design of a crane since this bird is basically tall and has a very tall neck and for cranes this shape was the best as the primary purpose of the cranes was to lift heavy material or equipment. This being the reason the name crane was chosen after the name of a bird that has the same name. This may be one of the reasons why cranes are called with this name.
